Time zones — how scheduling shows the right time to everyone

Each meeting type is authored in your zone, invitees see slots in their own zone, and you can lock a zone for in-person events.

OCCS uses a three-zone model so the right time shows to the right person.

Your scheduling zone Each meeting type has a time zone (Edit → "Your time zone"). Your weekly availability ("Mon 9–5") is always interpreted in this zone, no matter who's viewing — so "9am" means 9am where you set it. Daylight saving is handled for you.

Your display zone Set your personal Timezone under Settings → Display. Your calendar, scheduler, and emails render in this zone. It only changes what you see — never how availability is calculated.

The invitee's zone On the public booking page, OCCS auto-detects the visitor's time zone and shows slots in their local time, with a dropdown to change it. The chosen zone is saved on the booking, so their confirmation and reminders arrive in their time.

Lock the zone (in-person / webinars) Turn on "Lock to my time zone" on the meeting type to show everyone the event's zone instead of their own — the right choice for in-person events.
